Our story

We are Frenchie’s. Run by Ryan and Hayley French (husband and wife), and yup we’re still together!

It all started when we got married, we were gifted with a small yet beautiful Ooni pizza oven for our garden. We started using pre-made dough cooking for our friends and family. That soon changed into an obsession of making our own dough, late nights and messy kitchens, and more and more pizza being consumed. Hayley’s spontaneous attitude landed us with a beautiful vintage horse box that needed some tinkering to get pizza ready. And the business was born.

On a recent trip to Naples (now Ryan’s favourite place in the world), tasting some of the best pizzas, we were inspired to using only the best ingredients possible, and keeping it simple!Our saying ‘Everyone loves pizza’ was created by Hayley’s 11 year old niece - and I don’t think she is wrong. It capsulated our fun and simple approach.

The dough

Our dough is freshly made for every event, using the finest ‘00’ flour, fresh yeast, sea salt and water. Slow-proved to create that perfect Neapolitan style crust - puffy, crisp, chewy.

The tomatoes

Only San Marzano DOP tomatoes – the authentic Neapolitan pizza tomato grown in the volcanic soil of Mount Vesuvius. Blitzed into a sauce with just a little added sea salt.

The cheese

Fiordilatte mozzarella, carefully selected due to its ideal moisture content so the pizza is moist but not too wet, stretchy but not rubbery – with a delicious delicate creamy flavour.
